Event & Booking Terms
Last updated: 21 August 2026
These Event & Booking Terms apply to events, activities and programmes organised by AOBA Ltd. (“AOBA”, “we”, “us” or “our”), unless different or additional terms are provided for a particular event.
By registering for or attending an AOBA event or activity, you agree to these terms.
1. Registration and Booking
Some AOBA events and activities require advance registration or booking.
When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information.
Registration requirements, prices, age guidance, capacity and other arrangements may vary between events. Please check the relevant event information before attending.
A booking may be subject to availability and any additional conditions stated on the relevant registration or ticketing page.
2. Children and Supervision
Unless an event is specifically described as a supervised or drop-off activity, children must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent, guardian or responsible accompanying adult at all times.
Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for their child, taking into account their age, abilities and individual needs.
AOBA staff, volunteers, facilitators and activity leaders do not replace parental or guardian supervision at family events.
3. Safety
The safety and wellbeing of participants is important to us.
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by AOBA, activity leaders or venue staff.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children appropriately, particularly when activities involve small objects, craft materials, food, physical movement or other equipment.
AOBA may adapt, restrict or stop an activity where reasonably necessary for safety or operational reasons.
4. Safeguarding
AOBA is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children participating in our events and activities.
Any safeguarding concerns arising during an AOBA event or activity will be taken seriously and handled in accordance with our safeguarding procedures.
Where necessary to protect a child, AOBA may take appropriate action, including contacting a parent or guardian, emergency services or relevant safeguarding authorities.
The fact that a parent or guardian remains responsible for supervising their child at a family event does not prevent AOBA from taking appropriate action where a safeguarding concern arises.
5. Health, Allergies and Individual Needs
Parents and guardians remain responsible for managing their child's known health needs, allergies and individual requirements unless AOBA has expressly agreed otherwise.
Where relevant information is requested for safe participation in a particular activity, please provide accurate and appropriate information.
If food or refreshments are available, participants with allergies or dietary requirements should check the relevant allergen information before consuming any food or drink.
Please speak to AOBA or the relevant food provider if you require further information.
6. Behaviour
We want AOBA events to be safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards other families, staff, volunteers, facilitators and venue personnel.
AOBA may refuse participation or ask someone to leave where behaviour is unsafe, seriously disruptive, abusive or presents a material risk to themselves or others.
7. Event Changes
We may occasionally need to change an event's programme, activities, timetable, facilitator, venue or other arrangements.
Where a significant change affects registered participants, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the change using the contact information available to us.
Minor programme changes or substitutions may be made without prior notice.
8. Cancellation by AOBA
AOBA may cancel or postpone an event where reasonably necessary, including because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a paid event is cancelled by AOBA and cannot be rescheduled, participants will normally be offered an appropriate refund of the amount paid to AOBA for the affected booking, unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
AOBA is not responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation costs, except where required by law.
9. Cancellation by Participants and Refunds
Cancellation and refund arrangements may vary depending on the event.
Any event-specific cancellation or refund policy displayed at the time of booking will apply.
Where no separate cancellation policy is stated, please contact AOBA as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights that apply to you.
10. Photography and Video
Photographs or videos may occasionally be taken at AOBA events and activities.
Where appropriate permission is required for identifiable images of children, AOBA will seek permission from a parent or guardian.
Attendance at an AOBA event does not automatically constitute permission for an identifiable image of a child to be used for promotional purposes.
Please also respect the privacy of other children and families when taking your own photographs or videos.
Further information about how we handle personal information and images is available in our Privacy Policy.
11. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings while attending AOBA events.
Please take reasonable care of valuables and personal property.
AOBA is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Third-Party Facilitators and Providers
AOBA events may sometimes include activities, services, food or products provided by independent facilitators, vendors or other third parties.
Where a third party provides a separate product or service directly to you, their own terms, conditions or policies may apply.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
To the extent permitted by law, AOBA is not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or that result from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for the appropriate supervision of children at family events unless AOBA has expressly agreed to provide supervised care.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
14. Personal Information
Personal information provided in connection with a booking or event will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Event & Booking Terms from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any rights you have under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.
